About the tour: Explore the varied cultural landscapes of Japan over 20 days and nights. This tour includes two shibori workshops. The first is an optional five-day Arashi Shibori Workshop taught in Arimatsu by Kaei Hayakawa, the last practicing Arashi shibori artist in Japan. After the annual Shibori Fest in Arimatsu, a two-day workshop will be offered by shibori specialists and dyers, Kuno, Murase, and Wada. The tour includes sites in Kyoto, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Miyama, mostly using public transport like the natives.
Arrive in Nagoya, Japan, on 5/23/2023. The tour program ends on 6/12/2023. All accommodations, transportation, and most meals are included.
There will be separate fees for the two shibori workshops, all materials included.
