About the tour: Explore the varied cultural landscapes of Japan over 19 days and nights. This tour includes two novel shibori workshops. The first is an optional five-day Arashi Shibori Workshop taught in Arimatsu by Kaei Hayakawa, the last practicing Arashi shibori artist in Japan. The second is a two-day workshop by a trio of shibori specialists and dyers–Kuno, Murase, and Wada. The tour includes sites and tastes in Arimatsu, Kurashiki, Hagi, Matsue, Izumo, Tottori, Miyama Village, Shigaraki, and Kyoto mostly using public transport like the natives.

Arrive in Nagoya, Japan, on 10/19/2023. The tour program ends in Nagoya on 11/07/2023. All land arrangements, accommodations, transportation, and most meals are included.

There will be a separate fee for Hayakawa’s five-day Arashi shibori workshop, all materials and lunches included.

All sales are final. No returns or refunds.
